China's Unisun Connects to Grid 19.59 MW PV Plants in Romania

China-based Unisun said it
has connected to the grid three photovoltaic
(PV) power plants in Romania with a combined
installed capacity of 19.59 megawatts (MW).
The three power plants are expected to generate
up to 8.0 million euro ($10.9 million) in
electricity and subsidy revenues annually, the
company said in a statement on Tuesday.
The Dej, Setra and Clue plants have installed
capacities of 5.98 MW, 6.4 MW and 7.14 MW,
respectively.
The plant in Dej, in the northwestern county of
Cluj, is expected to generate 7.0 million
kilowatt hours (KWh) of electricity annually,
meeting the daily power needs of 4,000 local
households. The Setra and Clue plants in the
central county of Brasov are expected to
generate 15 million KWh of electricity annually,
meeting the daily power needs of 10,000 local
households.
The investors in the three solar parks are
Unisun and Zhejiang International Trade New
Energy Investment.
Unisun Energy GmbH, the German division of
Unisun, serves as the engineering, procurement,
and construction (EPC) contractor, and the
Romanian division of Unisun is responsible for
green certificate sales, operations and
maintenance.
Unisun, a member of Wuxi Guolian Development
Group, is a global developer of solar power
plants and provider of green electricity.
