MedPower 2010 in Cyprus

The 7th Mediterranean Conference on Power Generation, Transmission Distribution and Energy Conversion (MedPower 2010) belongs to a series of Conferences that have established a major energy platform in the region. The Conference, which will take place in Adams Hotel, Agia Napa, Cyprus, from 7 to 10 November 2010, will focus on topics of interest to the Electric Power Industry.

MedPower 2010 is organized by IET Cyprus, IET Hellas and IET Israel and co-organized by the Electrical Authority of Cyprus. The Conference is technically supported by the National Technical University of Athens.

It intends to address the vast technological changes in all areas of the electric energy business, products, equipment, methods, and so on. MedPower 2010 will provide power engineers, technicians, academics and industrialists the opportunities to be updated on current academic and industry developments, achievements and trends through presentations and open discussions.

Presentations will emphasise the regional needs and peculiarities of environmental aspects associated with electric power generation, transmission, energy conversion systems, distribution systems, automation and demand control. Recent experience in the creation and effective functioning of competitive electric energy markets will be addressed.

This Conference will significantly benefit engineers and technicians through state-of-the-art presentations by major equipment suppliers, researchers, utility specialists, invited speakers and discussions by international participants.
