Energy Analyst

The Institute of Energy for SE Europe (IENE), an independent non-profit organisation focusing on SE Europe, seeks to appoint a full time researcher who will be engaged in the monitoring and analysis of region’s electricity and gas markets. The position is suitable for an energy professional who already has some experience in the energy sector and is prepared to work hard and learn as he or she will be involved with a number of diverse projects which the Institute is now carrying out in the region. The successful candidate will work as part of team of energy professionals and initially will assist with the preparation of the Institute’s regular information feed and also undertake some basic analysis of regional energy flows. 

This is a full-time appointment to be based at the Institute's headquarters in central Athens. The ideal candidate, who must have at least 3 years work experience, should have a first degree in engineering, physical sciences or economics, a Master’s degree in a related discipline and must be familiar with energy modelling. Applicants must have a strong drive to learn, tenacity to work and contribute to the overall work and goals of the Institute which is currently undergoing an expansion of its activities. The candidate must be able to communicate fluently in English and Greek.
